I am very disappointed in US carmakers . Yes, they make and sell EV cars, but only if they are SUVs, with a few exceptions. Most vehicle ads are for big SUVs and hefty trucks shown in offroad conditions. EVs are not sold on personal wellbeing reasons, ie no need to gas fill car. No breathing toxic exhaust. Electricity in MD comes from natural gas, nuclear primarily and then wind and solar. Please more EV sedans from everywhere
Hey Zach, that is a positive spin. I will take it. In many ways we did hold the world back. That is no longer the case. US is declining in influence, China is gaining. The world will need the US to catch up on cleantech at some point.

A positive spin, all right! Very misleading, however.
Holding China up as a paradigm of climate virtue is dishonest!
Those EVs are primarily using coal-powered electricity.
The Chinese couldn't care less about climate change, or they wouldn't lead the world in coal power plant construction.
The Chinese EV revolution is a strategic move to wean off Gulf state oil. It's about energy security.
China spends more on climate change mitigation than on CO2 reduction.
